Where it comes from
AetherStar exists because of SingStar, the PlayStation karaoke series Sony launched in 2004. It turned singing into a scored party game, and its scoring and rank ladder are what AetherStar plays like.
The songs come from the fans. UltraStar Deluxe and the UltraStar projects before it created the open song format AetherStar reads, and the USDB community has charted songs in it for years.
AetherStar is an independent project with no connection to Sony or to those projects. It shares no code or assets with SingStar.
Free for Windows and Mac.
